A regi\u00e3o do Minho, com as suas condi\u00e7\u00f5es geoclim\u00e1ticas e a aposta na cultura de regadio, foi pioneira na sua ado\u00e7\u00e3o. A cultura prosperou rapidamente no noroeste de Portugal.\u00a0Antes, o cereal de base para a alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o da popula\u00e7\u00e3o era o\u00a0pain\u00e7o\u00a0 (milho-mi\u00fado) e outros cereais, como o\u00a0centeio\u00a0e o\u00a0trigo.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019introduction du ma\u00efs a provoqu\u00e9 une v\u00e9ritable \"r\u00e9volution agricole\" dans le nord-ouest portugais. Cette c\u00e9r\u00e9ale avait un cycle v\u00e9g\u00e9tatif plus court, un plus grand potentiel productif et la capacit\u00e9 de cohabiter avec d\u2019autres cultures (comme le haricot et la courge dans un syst\u00e8me de polyculture). Son adoption \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle a profond\u00e9ment modifi\u00e9 le paysage agraire, les habitudes alimentaires (le pain de ma\u00efs est devenu dominant) et l\u2019organisation sociale et \u00e9conomique de la r\u00e9gion du Minho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les cultures ant\u00e9rieures \u00e9taient essentiellement pluviales, ce qui permettait de les cultiver sur des terrains assez pentus. Les terrasses (socalcos) sont apparues pour rendre productives les pentes escarp\u00e9es du Minho, en ma\u00eetrisant l\u2019\u00e9rosion et l\u2019eau abondante de cette r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/carvalhahouse.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_4322-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1129\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le ma\u00efs, outre l\u2019alimentation humaine (production de pain de ma\u00efs), servait \u00e0 nourrir les animaux, et la paille avait de multiples usages, comme le rembourrage des oreillers et des matelas. La nouvelle culture a permis une augmentation significative de la population et une diversification alimentaire, transformant le paysage du Minho en une mosa\u00efque de champs de ma\u00efs c\u00f4toyant les espigueiros (greniers) servant \u00e0 le s\u00e9cher et \u00e0 le stocker.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La valeur du ma\u00efs \u00e9tait si grande que, au-del\u00e0 de la solution architecturale de protection des espigueiros (comme leur sur\u00e9l\u00e9vation et les meules rondes en pierre pour emp\u00eacher l\u2019entr\u00e9e des rongeurs), les habitants leur attribuaient un caract\u00e8re sacr\u00e9 et une protection divine, comme en t\u00e9moignent les croix de pierre au sommet des greniers, notamment dans les ensembles monumentaux de Soajo et Lindoso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ces croix avaient pour but d\u2019invoquer la protection divine sur la c\u00e9r\u00e9ale stock\u00e9e, qui repr\u00e9sentait souvent l\u2019unique moyen de survie de la communaut\u00e9 tout au long de l\u2019ann\u00e9e. De nombreux espigueiros \u00e9taient (et sont) \u00e0 usage communautaire, situ\u00e9s sur des aires de battage partag\u00e9es. Cette organisation renfor\u00e7ait l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019un bien essentiel, qui n\u00e9cessitait une sauvegarde collective et mystique, au-del\u00e0 de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 physique.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Espigueiros et terrasses sont des \u00e9l\u00e9ments interconnect\u00e9s de l\u2019architecture rurale du Minho, symbolisant l\u2019autosuffisance et l\u2019organisation agricole : les terrasses produisaient les grains que les greniers conservaient, pr\u00e9servant la r\u00e9colte pour l\u2019hiver.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vous \u00eates invit\u00e9 \u00e0 revivre cette intensit\u00e9 historique \u00e0 la Carvalha House, dans tout le confort, dans l\u2019h\u00e9bergement Carvalha Espigueiro, o\u00f9 vous pourrez partager de bons moments aupr\u00e8s de cet \u00e9l\u00e9ment symbolique et d\u2019une histoire si r\u00e9elle, qui rec\u00e8le un patrimoine si riche de cette r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tudo come\u00e7a por uma quest\u00e3o de sobreviv\u00eancia e dar cobro \u00e0s necessidades b\u00e1sicas da popula\u00e7\u00e3o: A alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o.
